This hunter green rusteoleum is about four shades lighter than I expected. Oh well, world’s most garbage paint job because it’s 65 degrees, 100% humidity, and I did next to no prep. I don’t just half ass things, I 1/8th ass them.
Also gonna be putting the wheels on. Off of a 92 Bonneville ssei.
I’ll be taking it down to bare metal and doing this right this summer. I’m mostly fucking around this go-round.

At least you didn’t 1/16th ass it. That would have been bad

Did you run out of paint towards the bottom or is it just the floor reflecting on it?

How many cans did it take?

Reflection, I believe. I’m four coats deeper into this crap now. Some weird shit happened on the passenger quarter panel and it looks like melting wax art. Time to grab the sandpaper...

Two quarts of hunter green rusteoleum thinned 40% with mineral spirits then shot with a harbor freight HVLP gun. First we thinned it out too much because we thought it was too thick for the gun. Ran like hell and made drips anywhere so we thickened it back out and realized the gun was clogged. So it’s a pretty garbage looking paint job lol

Looks trash in real life. Might buff out to look OK from 20 feet away

I’ve shot rustoleum HVLP thinned about 25% with acetone and it was a little lumpy and hard to get a good spray pattern, I think about 1/3 would be ideal. Not sure how it would work out with mineral spirits.

I didn’t know you could buy a quart of Rustoleum. I have a GMC Safari that the paint is literally falling off. Ridiculous.

One day I want to be really cheesy and talk my town into letting me plastidip mine and my girlfriend’s names or initials on the water tower.

You can buy it by the gallon. I worked my way through a full gallon of black Rustoleum Pro.
